With our partners at Changeworks we aim to recycle 100% of waste for all types of event.

We can provide three levels of service:

• Collection - specific recycling receptacles to collect your recyclable waste from your site or premises
• Organisation - working with you to draw up a waste management plan for your event.
• Management - a fully serviced waste management service.

Marquee Carpet Recycling

The UK estimates that over 500,000 tonnes of carpet is thrown away or incinerated each year. As business practices are becoming more environmentally aware and the United Kingdom tries to divert more rubbish away from landfill it is important that the events industry does its share.

The nature of events and the materials used for marquee carpeting mean that tonnes of polypropylene carpets are being used only once before being sent to landfill. The cost of commercial landfill is already over £100 per tonne and is set to increase as the country aims to reach recycling targets; marquee carpeting is becoming not only wasteful but also expensive.

Diamond Event Services is the first and only company in Scotland tackling the disposal of the vast quantities of carpet generated by the events industry. No other company is recycling waste of this kind within Scotland, despite the metres upon metres of carpet being sent to landfill after just one use. With an aim to save on the cost of carpet disposal and reduce waste and landfill, we are now offering a service whereby we can collect used carpets direct from site or from a storage unit and take them away for recycling. Making savings for our clients as well as benefiting the environment.

Our flexible service means it can be tailored to your requirements; we can make regular collections from a storage unit or one off pick ups direct from site. As part of a complete service package we can also provide crew to come to site to roll and load the carpet before removing it for recycling.
